Dining Room Reveal

After being in the house for 9 months I can finally say that one room is done done. No small item is left on its to do list and I'm pretty excited and happy with the turn out. Now to keep plugging along in the other rooms. The living room and entry way are a close second to being done. Just need to finish the painting the trim.

Unfortunately I didn't take too many good before, here is the only one I can find from move in day. Everything was an aged beige and yellowy when I moved in and I couldn't wait to make everything bright.  We started with a base of Benjamin Moore's intense white in pretty much every room.

The house has great molding and I really wanted to show it off. I wanted to do a dark dark gray that almost looked back but wasn't too drastic against Benjamin Moore's intense white. After staring at paint swatches taped the wall for a month I picked Ralph Lauren's basalt in semi-gloss.

The mix of grays, whites and wood makes me love the cool but warm feeling of the room. I've added small small pops of color with the rug, mirror, and bench legs.
